One of the most basic things we truly under estimate, under value and underutilise as a human is the language we speak. The words that come out of our mouths. The words we choose to speak alongside tonality and body language we display is the difference between getting what we want and receiving what we don’t want. It could be the difference in being offered a job you would really love or not. As a child presenting your words to your parents is the difference in getting that toy, that gadget or that new bit of tech you would love or perhaps just a lift to your mates. Words are the very basics of humanity.
Communication is initially learned at home. How your parents are. Were, are they permanently stressed out, trying to work, raise a family, juggle life, or perhaps they are chilled out, laidback. Communication as we grow is then influenced through nursery, preschool, school, college etc. Influenced then from other adults, friendship groups and social media. When you look at this collectively it results in a whole mixture a whole lot of ingredients as to how we communicate and how we learn. Almost and actually over whelming. We get caught up in the influence, the fitting into society.
When do we stop and think who we are as an individual. What are our core values as a person? What are our strengths, weaknesses and what do we want out of life and are we accountable for what we get out of life.
Think of your current state of mind and where you are right now. Are you where you want to be and how do you feel about the way you interact with different people on a daily basis.
I believe we can shape the future for the better, with the right communication comes the right mindset and with this anything is possible.
